Wireless charging ?

Wireless charging is geting more popular everyday and over 70 different models of phones support this. There is more and more places and phones supporting this and it could be big. Think about it like this, years ago when everyone played the ps2 the controller for this console for a while was wired. People had wireless controller’s but it was not uncommon to own a wired one but now on a next gen console or even a xbox 360 or ps3 all the controllers you see are mostly wireless. Wire charging will be around forever because it is needed for many things. But considering that most new phones are featuring wireless charging and people buy new phones it’s very easy to say many people will have it and use it.

2014 Holiday gift guide

This year there is so many good gift ideas and good deals black friday is coming soon and cyber Monday and that means christmas shopping. so we here at todayingeek are going to give you a Holiday gift guide.

• a new console, A new console is a good idea this year because the console war is still going on and Microsoft and Sony are going to battle to give the customers good deals and game bundles for us to buy their console instead of the competitor.
• a new phone, Another great idea is a new phone Apple will be trying to get as many iphones sold as possible and this means good deals and contracts they also need to compeat with Samsung because they have the Samsung galaxy s5 and it is a really good phone. This is a nice battle and great for customers the iPhone 6 and 6 plus against the Samsung galaxy s5. Other phones will have good deals as well but these are the two most popular phones.
• a new tablet,again Apple vs Samsung the new Ipad vs the Samsung galaxy note this wont be as big as the phones but we will see some nice prices
• on black friday tvs go on sale and there are some really nice deals I will be getting a new tv this year and if you want one it would be smart to do the same.
• New computers go on sale but usually only laptops because they are more popular than desktops and all kinds go on sale such as chromebooks,aleinware,Acer,dell and more. this is actually my favorite time of year to buy a new computer

WiFi everywhere

Almost everywhere you go there is WiFi. Most people don’t really think about it but it is very interesting. For instance restaurants,stores,some cars,busses and your home. Some places advertise free WiFi to get more people to come in their businesses. Now do people even need to do that much more because if you think about almost everywhere has it and if not chances are your on 4G LTE or a mobile network.We are seeing more and more WiFi everyday even ideas of WiFi on the streets have come up which makes me think maybe someday we will have WiFi free and everywhere.

Samsung announcement’s !!!

Today Samsung has officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The device is going to launch in October and I think will be very popular. It is said the device looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy Alpha together in one looks wise. The S pen has been improved the S pen is the stylus that comes with the device the sensitivity has increased and something new is smart select you can now drop lots of images or text into an email or text message  the  Now let’s get into specs.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

Samsung also announced the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. The device looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 but has a curved body on one side for a better display. September 9th !!! (UPDATED)

According to reports from ReCode Apple will be unveiling the iPhone 6. As you probably already know the iPhone 6 is rumored to come in to models 4.5 inch and 5.5 inch. If the iPhone 6 is announced it is said it may just be the 4.4 and not the phablet yet. The iPhone 6 is said to have a sapphire  screen, Improved I sight camera, fast A8 chip, 2 sizes and more. Now the iPhone 6 is already scaring company’s like Samsung and Nokia even ! Other huge company’s are worried the iPhone 6 is going to be so spectacular that people will not want to buy something with windows or android on it. Another thing about the iPhone 6 is IOS 8. This operating system is really good we have already seen it and know what to expect. You can install 3rd party keyboards and much more but something I would like to talk about is Health tracking. You can now monitor how many miles you run you vitals and more. I believe we will see iPhone 6 on September 9th. Wait there is more another thing rumored at this event was a new iPad but it seems that is pushed back until early 2015. There is more the iWatch is rumored to be announced at the rumored event also. I’m not going to talk a whole lot about the iWatch rumors specs wise but I will talk about what I think. It is possibly that they announce the iWatch alongside the iPhone 6 we have been waiting for Apple to come out with wearable technology forever. Apple needs to keep up with things too Right now there is Samsung galaxy gear, Motto 360 coming which will be BIG, LG’s smart watch line and still more to come. This event would be a great opportunity to announce the iWatch because Apple does usually announce most of their yearly hardware in September. Now the iWatch would also go great with the health programs they are working with. We will keep you updated on all news on this date and remember this has not yet been confirmed just very highly rumored and reported by a credible source I believe this will happen.

Apple to announce next iPhone September 9th

New reports from Re/Code say Apple will have the keynote for the next iPhone on September 9th now yes of course this is just a rumor but very promising. Historically  the iPhone is announced in September and the event is scheduled a few days after Samsung announces its new and upcoming product in Berlin so they have to stay in the competition. I would love for this to happen September 9th rather than late September and I hope the iPhone 6 rumors are true. For iPhone 6 rumors scroll down and we tell you when is official

Factory resetting your Android phone may not delete everything

when you factory reset your phone you expect all of your personal information to be deleted. Well according to reports by Avast they went to eBay and bought 20 Android smartphones that were said to be  factory reset. And they were able to find 40,000 pics, 1,000 Google searches 750 emails and text messages and 250 contact names and emails. Now I find this very interesting because factory resetting your phone is meant for deleting all of your personal information so the next owner will not be able to know anything about you. Most people would not try to restore any previous information that was on the device but many people will find this uncomfortable. I always make sure before I sell any device that has ever had any personal information on it there is nothing they can restore. I think that you should too.

 

Amazon Fire

The long-awaited Amazon Fire phone has been unveiled. Lets get right into this hot topic. Amazon does not want you to just by the new phone. They have made it so easy so that this smart phone can recognize 70 Million products, 35 Million songs, 245,000 movies and TV episodes, and 160 live TV channels. Wow theirs a good chance of someone buying something. Yes the QR and bar code scanners will become very popular on this device. The Amazon Fire also boasts a 3-D screen nice right. The new smart phone will ship on July 25th. Maybe this is a good present for your Christmas in July. Don’t want to wait to buy it when it comes out you can pre-order now. This phone among the rumors is only available on at&ts network. I personally among others think this is not the right way to go. Lots of people are with other companies like T-Mobile Sprint Verizon and cricket. So I can’t begin understand  there super idiotic choice in doing this will drive sales down. And with them not being a major phone like iPhone’s, Motto’s, or Samsung galaxy’s there is more major phones but the POINT is that people are not going to switch to At&t just for an Amazon phone even if its cool. It’s still just an Amazon phone. At 199$ for the 32 GB and 299$ for 64 GB with an At&t contract which most people DON’T like contacts. Samsung galaxy

The Samsung w not to be confused with the Samsung z posted earlier today is here. Many people would call it a phablet meaning phone tablet because its both. The right term for it would be a tablet with calling capabilities. The Samsung galaxy w has a 7 inch screen a 720p display and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor it has 16GB of expandable storage a 8 megapixel rear cam and 2 megapixel front cam. This device is running android 4.3 still but i’m sure will get and update for 4.4 soon enough. The price point is going to be around $489.
