Club penguin for Android is finally here

The popular Disney PC game club penguin is out on android. If your unfamiliar with the game you can create a penguin chat with others dress up and play games. If you have a kid it’s a great game play. The mobile version is just as good as playing it on the PC. There is a Christmas party currently going on in the world. Some features do require a membership that does cost money but not very much for one month.

Chrome cast still leading in sales

The popular streaming device the chrome cast leads in sales past the Amazon fire stick and any other competitors. If you are unfamiliar with the device it is a small thumb drive that you stick In a HDMI port on the back of your TV and it allows you to stream things from your phone, tablet, computer and other devices running chrome. You can stream YouTube, Netflix, your browser it self and more. This an incredible device that is very mobile and useful. I find it better than some other of the competing streaming devices out there. And it is by far the cheapest at a price point of only 34.99. The Pirate bay Down !!!

The Pirate bay is the worlds most popular pirating site you can get movies,music,games,software and more free. Of course this is a problem because that is breaking many laws. The owners of the Pirate bay are currently in jail the latest one was locked up just 2 month ago. Now the site has been down before and almost always comes back sooner or later. This time it may be different the Swedish police have raided a Stockholm confiscating servers,computers and other equipment. This happened once in 2006 a very similar problem and it came back. Some other sites associated with the pirate bay are down as well. New reports show that the Pirate bay is working on being resurrected at a new domain.

Cyber Week !

Yesterday was Cyber Monday the black Friday of the internet. It was very successful one of the best in years. There were so many deals for instance amazon had the new Nba 2K15 on sale for 35$. I bought that for sure and it was not just on games it was on anything you can think of. Sadly many people missed this event because they were not aware of it or they forgot. Don’t worry not everywhere but some websites are continuing their Cyber Monday deals through this week. Sites doing this are Walmart,Target,Sams club,Best buy and some of Amazon and more. Some of the exclusive deals are gone but there are still many great deals have a good Cyber week.

Thanksgiving is over so now it’s time to worry about Christmas. Black Friday was a great day to get gifts at stores and it was a hit. Now it’s time for an online black Friday known as Cyber Monday. This is a great day to get deals on almost anything you can think of. Lots of discounts,free shipping and handling,bogo and more. Some people like to do it in stores and others online. So take this day to order items you can’t get near by. We could spend time giving sales details but there are just so many out there. Main items people focus on are new TVs, game systems, phones, and many other cool electronics but you can buy anything from electronics to clothes and toys. Have a happy Cyber Monday.

Are Mp3 players dead ?

We all remember the device that could only play music no apps no phone and sometimes no screen. The most popular Mp3 player was iPod of course this is what started all Mp3 players. After that came more iPods and many other off brand Mp3 players. Now allot of people have either a smartphone or a iPod touch. These devices can do much more than music. When steve jobs imagined the future he did not expect it to get this far. When the first iPod came out it was ground breaking a huge historical event in the technology world. Now really the only good Mp3 player out there is the iPod still the off brands are still there but most people buy a iPod shuffle, nano or original just for music. But earlier today I was thinking about this topic allot and asked my self are Mp3 players dead are iPods dead even iPod touches are smartphones and smart watches taking over our music needs. I did come to a answer and that answer is yes but not completely yet. We still have at least 4 more years but when that time comes they might even stop making brand new ones as much as they do now. Allot of people may be disappointed because they can’t afford a phone but the device will still be there but it will not be as popular. Technology moves on we are past things like the VHS tapes and colorless tv. And our kids may not even know what a Mp3 player is.

This year there is so many good gift ideas and good deals black friday is coming soon and cyber Monday and that means christmas shopping. so we here at todayingeek are going to give you a Holiday gift guide.

• a new console, A new console is a good idea this year because the console war is still going on and Microsoft and Sony are going to battle to give the customers good deals and game bundles for us to buy their console instead of the competitor.
• a new phone, Another great idea is a new phone Apple will be trying to get as many iphones sold as possible and this means good deals and contracts they also need to compeat with Samsung because they have the Samsung galaxy s5 and it is a really good phone. This is a nice battle and great for customers the iPhone 6 and 6 plus against the Samsung galaxy s5. Other phones will have good deals as well but these are the two most popular phones.
• a new tablet,again Apple vs Samsung the new Ipad vs the Samsung galaxy note this wont be as big as the phones but we will see some nice prices
• on black friday tvs go on sale and there are some really nice deals I will be getting a new tv this year and if you want one it would be smart to do the same.
• New computers go on sale but usually only laptops because they are more popular than desktops and all kinds go on sale such as chromebooks,aleinware,Acer,dell and more. this is actually my favorite time of year to buy a new computer

WiFi everywhere

Almost everywhere you go there is WiFi. Most people don’t really think about it but it is very interesting. For instance restaurants,stores,some cars,busses and your home. Some places advertise free WiFi to get more people to come in their businesses. Now do people even need to do that much more because if you think about almost everywhere has it and if not chances are your on 4G LTE or a mobile network.We are seeing more and more WiFi everyday even ideas of WiFi on the streets have come up which makes me think maybe someday we will have WiFi free and everywhere.

WiFi in your car !

Chevrolet is bringing us something we have never seen before. They will be putting built in WiFi into cars,trucks and crossovers. Now it will not be super fast but it will be a good speed. How do they do this well its 4G LTE they say up to 7 devices can connect and it is basically the ultimate WiFi hotspot people without internet could even take advantage of this and use it more than some other’s this is a very interesting topic and we will discus more as we get it. Also to mention will other companies follow and do the same we will find out soon.
